Thordon bearings are the superior choice for the Turbine Guide Bearing application in Hydro Turbines, whether for a new build or an existing one. They can be used to convert an existing oil-sealed turbine guide bearing into a water-lubricated one. Based on the abrasion levels, Thordon offers two grades of material: SXL and GM2401.

Guide Vane Bush & Cup Seal
ThorPlas-Blue Guide Vane & Linkage Bushes operate wet or dry and eliminate the cost, maintenance and pollution risk associated with greased bearings.
Thorseal lip/cup seals are used in hard-to-reach guide vane bushes to prevent contamination by abrasive-laden waters or to seal water from entering the plant.
They can also be integrated for easy one-piece installation.

Complete Shaft Seal Assembly
